Other Important Curricular Information

IGCSE examinations information:  If your course leads to an exam, it is your responsibility to make the arrangements to take it. Please note that there will be extra fees for entering to take your exam and that you may need to travel to take your exams.  We suggest phoning a year in advance around local private schools or the British Council if you live abroad, or local schools, colleges or the exam board itself for suggestions if you live in the UK.  You will need to ask for the exams officer, and whether you can sit as an external candidate the following subjects xyz by the following boards ABC.  If an establishment offers the particular exams and board, it will usually be cheaper than if they have to make special arrangements for the papers and the invigilator.  Home Education websites and forums are a good source of local information, either by searching or by requesting in a new post in the forum.  More links and information.

Discussion on the BBC website about the IGCSE examinations.  Briteschool teaches to the Cambridge syllabus (and also Edexcel IGCSE for some subjects) as this obviates the need to compile and submit coursework: the grade is based entirely on exam-performance.
